There is many traditional foods in Ireland. Many of their foods has been influenced by other cultures, or it has been influenced by what food they have access to. Some of their food has been influence by meat in their foods. Some of their food has been influenced by Vikings or by English.

The stew first appeared in an written format of the recipe first appeared in the 18th century to make it available for people. It was originally made to make meals available for people and to use the leftover that people had in their house. Plus, people cannot always afford everything for every recipe.
